Ok, a belated XMas post. We had been prepping Declan by telling him about Santa (which he calls "Hehn", since he can't say "S").
"Who's Coming?" Santa (Hehn)
"What's he going to bring you?" Car (cah)
"What does he say?" Ho Ho Ho (just one "ho")
We took him to see Santa twice. First time he was fine, but the 2nd at the Burlington Mall, he screamed. Not fun at all.
On XMas morning, we were all set to see the joy on his face when he found all the presents. But he stepped into the room, found a scrap of paper and played with that. Cut! Take Two!
His parents were more excited about the prospect of his potential excitement. I think it took 5 tries before he spotted the presents. He kept wandering back into the kitchen or into his room. Next year!
Gifts included a bunch of toy trucks, Legos, some books and some clothes. He already has plenty of "stuff".
